Simon Evans

Simon Evans is the founding director of Nean.  Since qualifying as an English Barrister in 1981, he has practised in the area of International Trust and Estate Planning with the Fiduciary Services departments of a number of major investment banks and financial institutions.

From 1982 to 1986, he worked in international banking in Asia and the Middle East with HSBC, before joining Hong Kong Bank International Trustee in 1985.  From 1986 to 1989 he worked as a senior client advisor with HSBC in Hong Kong.

In 1989, he joined Citibank in Zurich as General Manager to of its international trust company, Confidas.

In 1991, Mr Evans returned to Asia as Head of Asian Wealth Advisory for JP Morgan.  His responsibilities included advising JP Morgan’s private clients in Asia on their estate planning and wealth transfer strategies.

In May 2000, he was transferred to JP Morgan’s London office as head of Wealth Advisory for Asia, the Middle East and the UK.  Whilst working in this role, Simon expanded the scope of his practice by advising families in the field of Family Office Establishment and administration.
